eucharistic prayer

Wisdom cannot and will not be contained; it has a way of springing up everywhere, even in restroom graffiti.  Take, for example, this little gem found at Sneaky Dee’s in Toronto, Ontario.  It’s life-affirming tone reminds us of the prayer we so often hear during the celebration of the Eucharist:

One: God be with you.

Many: And also with you.

One: Lift up your hearts.

Many: We lift them to the Lord.

One: Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.

Many: It is right to give her thanks and praise.

One: It is right, and a good and joyful thing, always and everywhere (even in restrooms!) to give thanks to you, Mother Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth. Thank you for the gift of love, the gift of life, and the gift of your son Jesus, who is our brother and our friend, Amen.
