Advent Last Call!

The time to start planning for the season of Advent, that mysterious time the church sets aside to wait and watch and pray for God to be even more present in this broken and beautiful world, is now!

If your church or organization is interested in making the most of this sacred time by lighting candles, reading scripture, singing, praying, and using this sweet, customizable short film (also available with Spanish voiceover!), now is the time to act.  We will be taking orders for the Advent customizable film project until the end of the day on Friday, November 7th.

As you know, we envision congregations using this film in the following ways: (1) on their website; (2) as a fun and vibrant invitation that church folks can forward to their friends, family members, co-workers, etc. on social media; and (3) as a beautiful invitation for your church's Christmas Eve Service(s), etc., etc.

As is our practice, we are making this film (customized with your church’s name, website, and Christmas Eve Service(s)) available to congregations on a sliding scale basis.  We’re suggesting $175 for churches with 50–100 members; $275 for churches with 100–500 members; and $375 for churches with more than 500 members - but, please know if this price point is not possible, we’re open to a “pay what you can” model.

So, let us know if you’d like to take part in this round of customizable films.  If you’re interested, please send along your church's name (let us know what your church is called both verbally and in it's written form - sometimes these vary), website, time of Christmas Eve Service(s), "pay scale," and contact information to:

And, as always, thanks for your interest and support of the SALT Project!

Peace and light,

The SALT Team

A big SALT thank you to Svatava Vizinová, from the Czech Republic, for offering up this beautiful creche that echos a popular folk tradition called Podmalby (painting on the reverse side of glass), found in Bavaria, Moravia, Slovakia, and Bohemia.  And, thanks to Alexis of Crechemania who has made this nativity and many, many more free and downloadble!
