A Cup of Kindness

It's been our dream to make a short film about coffee for years... Enter the fine folks over at Terra Nova and the best responsibly sourced, organic coffee ever! From day one Terra Nova has been dedicated to offering the highest quality coffee experience while never compromising on their commitment to be 100% organic, ethically oriented, and both kind and collaborative with their producers, customers, crew, and community. What a delight it was to spend the day with this amazing small batch roaster in Keene, NH! www.terranovacoffee.net www.saltproject.org

Sometimes it seems like coffee makes the world go round - and though it isn’t (as is sometimes claimed) “the world’s second-most-traded commodity,” coffee is indeed one of the world’s most important agricultural products, particularly for developing countries.

Tens of millions of people all over the world are involved in cultivating, harvesting, processing, transporting, and commercializing coffee - and so a morning cup of joe, as it turns out, is one of the most frequent, tangible, consequential ways we’re connected with far-flung neighbors.

All of which makes us especially interested in coffee that’s not only delicious, but also produced with a commitment to fair wages, collaborative professional partnerships, strong ethical guidelines, and organic agricultural practices.

That’s why we teamed up with Terra Nova, a local roaster in Keene, New Hampshire, dedicated to all of these things and more. As you can see in this short film, they are artists in their own right - and their coffee is truly a masterpiece. But most of all, thanks to their commitments to their partners and to the Earth itself, every sip comes from a warm cup of kindness and justice.

If you’re looking for a Christmas gift this year that will change the world one pot at a time, look no farther! You can find all of Terra Nova’s taste roasts here on Amazon (we love the Big Dipper Blend!) :)

Bottom’s up,
The SALT Team
