SALT Receives Third Emmy Nomination!

OMGosh!

SALT has received its third Emmy nomination for Get Home Safely: 10 Rules of Survival, a short film we made earlier this year in partnership with CTS, WFYI, and Trinity UCC.

In case you haven't watched it yet, here it is:

After Michael Brown's death, an important infographic, "10 Rules Of Survival If Stopped By The Police” was developed by David Miller, founder of "The Dare To Be King Project." In partnership with CTS, WFYI, and Trinity UCC (on the south side of Chicago), SALT has taken Miller's rules and created a short film to bring this critical information to an even wider audience and help save even more lives. Get Home Safely has been nominated in the Societal Concerns – Single Story category and stands proudly beside My Son Is A Beautiful Girl, a transgender child's story of finding herself.  We're trilled to be in such good company and we can't wait to see what happens at the awards ceremony on Saturday, June 18th!

Again, thanks to everyone who supports and believes in SALT – we’re over the moon!  It's hard to believe that we've been nominated for another Regional Emmy (it's true what they say: it really is an honor just to be nominated!).  Fingers crossed!

Love,

The SALT Team
