Sister On!

Elizabeth Gilbert, Glennon Doyle Melton, and SALT

There’s a list a mile long of people who inspire us.  People who make us laugh, make us cry, make us cheer, and make us just flat out want to be better people on this earth.

Two women, sisters if you will, have been particularly rocking and rolling our world lately and that’s the (big) magical Elizabeth Gilbert and the mother of all moms herself, Glennon Doyle Melton.

Encouraging all who cross their paths to not only lead creative lives but also to make the lives of others better whenever possible, both Elizabeth and Glennon walk their talk.

As part of the Compassionate Collective, both of these women, along with several other amazing individuals (Rob Bell, Brené Brown, and Cheryl Strayed - we couldn't resist typing out their names!) launched a campaign to raise $1 million for Syrian refugees.  With donations of just $25 or less, they accomplished their goal in just over a day.  The donations raised will be distributed
through Together Rising, a charity born out of Glennon’s blog, Momastery and probably best know around the country for their fabulous Love Flash Mobs (c'mon!).

And, as if that wasn’t enough to make us presidents of their fan clubs already, both shared SALT's latest short film, The Best Part of LIfe, helping us all to get even more love and goodness out into the world.

Sister on, friends. Sister on!

Love,

The SALT Team
