What is salt?
At SALT, we tell stories that matter.
We are a nimble, fun, boutique production powerhouse ready to create bite-sized social media content, visual mission statements, impression pieces, book trailers, and long-form, broadcast-ready documentaries for you and your organization. We love creating sharable, memorable film content that tells your story in a crisp, compelling way, helping to get the word out about who you are and how you’re changing the world.
We don’t like to brag, but we’ve won two Emmys, made book trailers for New York Times bestselling authors, gone viral (over 30 million views for DIY Easter Eggs), and worked with a wonderfully wide range of non-profit, faith-based, humanitarian, and corporate clients such as Target, O Magazine, and Johnson & Johnson. Basically, we like to work with anyone doing inspiring and beautiful things.
We believe in amazing stories, bright colors, flower power, glitter, the power of kindness, ukuleles, and good conversations. Contact us and we’ll start one up today.
And, if you'd like to catch a glimpse of a day in the life of SALT, check out the film below :)
Meet the Team
Elizabeth Myer Boulton is a storyteller and creative director extraordinaire. Ordained in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), her many years of preaching and pastoring have refined her ability to engage an audience with compelling content. She holds degrees from Trent University and the University of Chicago Divinity School - but, her biggest claim to fame is that she's the mama of two incredible kids: Jonah and Margaret!
Matthew Myer Boulton is professor of theology and president of Christian Theological Seminary and an ordained minister in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). A graduate of Northwestern University, the University of Chicago Divinity School, and Harvard Divinity School, he is the author of God Against Religion: Rethinking Christian Theology through Worship (Eerdmans, 2008).
Hilary loves making the world a little more pretty and a lot more functional through graphic design! She rarely makes the same recipe twice, is addicted to yoga, and can’t stop laying in hammocks. She loves Panang Curry and candycorn, but makes sure to eat chips and salsa every day. When she’s not sitting at her computer designing and listening to her Lisa Loeb Pandora station, she’s with her three kids, doing mom things like driving them to violin lessons and convincing teachers that homework should be optional. She is thrilled to be a part of SALT Project, where she believes creativity and beautiful ideas can change the world.
Gretchen wants to live in a world where kindness is king, turntables replace televisions, and everyone with a good idea finds encouragement. On any given day, you can find Gretchen creating art with her kids, sewing something fabulous, baking oatmeal bread (she kind of has to as a mennonite), and doing publicity and props for SALT.
